Meeting Minutes
Monday May 11, 2015

City Staff present: Development Director Nick Bond, City Clerk Brandy Rinearson, DCD Front
Counter Clerk Lisa Stone, & Associate Planner Elle Davis
Guests: Mayor Tim Matthes
The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m.
Discussion: RFP for Event Tool Kit. City Clerk Brandy Rinearson drafted a RFP for marketing kits.
Councilmember Bek Ashby stated this RFP is beyond what the tool kit was intended. Rinearson
stated the city had to get three bids and they didn’t have to be from the vendor roster. Ashby
suggested calling local printing shops. Councilmember Jeff Cartwright stated he would like this to
go out to bid. The committee held a discussion about notifying people this was going out to bid.
Rinearson stated the notice would go out Friday May 15th and 29th then she will bring bids to the
committee in June.
Discussion: April Comprehensive Plan Hearings. Ashby wanted to know if committee wanted to
have a follow up discussion about the Comprehensive Plan meeting. Development Director Nick
Bond stated DCD Intern Scott Bonjukian has recorded comments from the public into a draft.
Cartwright thought there was going to be a final comment list. Bond will provide responses to the
council at the June Work Study meeting.
Discussion: MySidewalk Update. Associate Planner Elle Davis stated there have a number of
responses. Davis said the site has been down since Friday morning and they are working to get it
back up as quickly as possible. The committee held a discussion about the program not working
correctly and contract issues. Bond stated he will continue to evaluate the program.
Discussion: Current and Future Projects Map. Bond stated he briefed the Finance Committee
three weeks ago about DCD projects. Bond said plan reviews are six weeks out and there may be a
need for a hearing examiner’s clerk and another full time planner next year. The committee held a
discussion about Impact fees, plan reviews and code updates.
With that discussion, Ashby closed the meeting.
