Meeting Minutes
Monday July 13, 2015
Present: Bek Ashby & Fred Chang
City Staff present: Development Director Nick Bond, Public Works Director Mark Dorsey, City
Clerk Brandy Rinearson, DCD Front Counter Clerk Lisa Stone, & Associate Planner Elle Davis
Guests: Mayor Tim Matthes
The meeting was called to order at 9:55 a.m.
Discussion: Wayfinding System Update. Development Director Nick Bond sent specs to WSDOT
for approval. Bond stated once approval is received from WSDOT, Ambrosini will provide the city
with final specs and then it can go out to bid.
Discussion: Foot Ferry Marketing Plan Update. City Clerk Brandy Rinearson stated the city
partnered with Explore Port Orchard to get brochures on the Bremerton/Seattle ferries. Rinearson
said the last four months of contract will consist of brochures with a list of festivals in the city.
Rinearson put notice out on Facebook and plans to purchase two A-Board frames that will be put
out in Bremerton and Port Orchard by the foot ferry.
Discussion: Public Event Toolkit. Rinearson tried to line up a presentation by Sound Media, but
there was a scheduling conflict. Rinearson stated Sound Media is requiring half of the money up
front and if that condition isn’t negotiable, then the contract wouldn’t be able to be fulfilled.
Councilmember Bek Ashby suggested Rinearson set up a presentation before a council meeting,
work study meeting or even a telephone conference.
Discussion: Street Use Permit. Bond stated this was covered during the Public Properties
Committee Meeting.
With that discussion, Ashby closed the meeting.
