A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACT NO. CO9O.2O WITH MURRAYSMITH, INC.
FOR THE MCCORMICK WOODS VILLAGE PARK SPLASH PAD RETROFIT VALUE
ENGTNEERTNG (VEl PROJECT AND DOCUMENTTNG PROFESSTONAL SERVICES
PROCUREMENT PROCEDURES.
WHEREAS, on October LO, 2020, the City of Port Orchard Public Works Department
selected two (2) qualified firms from the current MRSC Consultant Roster with experience in
Water Treatment systems; and
WHEREAS, on October 23,202O, the City's Public Works Department Staff contacted
each of the firms to solicit their availability and interest in the McCormick Village Park Splash
Pad Retrofit Value Engineering Project; and
WHEREAS, on November 1"1-, 2020, the City's Public Works Department Staff then
provided both firms with additional as-built information from the original McCormick Village
Park Splash Pad Construction Project; and
WHEREAS, on November 17, 2020, the City's Public Works Department received a
response of interest from Murraysmith, lnc. only; and
WHEREAS, on November 24, 2020, Murraysmith, lnc. was notified that they were
selected for the McCormick Village Park Splash Pad Retrofit Value Engineering Project; and
WHEREAS, on December 1",2020, the Public Works Department performed the Bidder's
Responsibility Checklist for Murraysmith, lnc; and
WHEREAS, on December 4,202Q, Murraysmith, lnc. provided the City's Public Works
Department with a viable Proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Port Orchard City Council, at the 2015 recommendation of the State
Auditor's Office, wishes to document their consultant selection process as described above for
this particular contract by Resolution; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES
AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: lt is the intent of the Port Orchard City Councilthat the recitals set forth above
are hereby adopted and incorporated as findings in support of the Resolution.
THAT: The Port Orchard City Council approves of and authorizes the Mayor to execute
Contract No. C090-20 with Murraysmith, lnc. for the 2O2O-202I McCormick Village Park
Splash Pad Retrofit Value Engineering Project.

THAT: This Resolution shalltake fullforce and effect upon passage and signatures
hereon.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and attested
