A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, APPROVING
THE PURCHASE OF VEHICLES FOR THE EQUIPMENT RENTAL REVOLVING FUND.
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved Ordinance No. 035-20, approving the 2021.-2022
Biennial Budget; and
WHEREAS, the 202!-2022 Biennial Budget includes 5709,000 for capital purchases of
vehicles and equipment for the Equipment Rental and Revolving fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved procurement policies which require City
Council authorization for purchasing items costing $SS,OO0 or more; and
WHEREAS, the purchase orders attached as Exhibit A are for the purchase of vehicles in
an amount that exceeds the 535,000 authorization limiU and
WHEREAS, the purchase orders are for vehicles that meet the fleet standardization
policy as adopted by the City Council, or is a like in kind replacement, and are reflected with the
2O2t-2022 Biennial Budget; now, therefore,
THE CIW COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES
AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: lt is the intent of the Port Orchard City Council that the recitals set forth above
are hereby adopted and incorporated as findings in support of this Resolution.
THAT: The City Council approves the purchase of all vehicles listed in the purchase
orders attached hereto in Exhibit A. The Mayor or his designee is authorized to take
action consistent with this authorization,
THAT: The Resolution shall take full force and effect upon passage and signatures
hereon. ,
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and attested
by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 9th day of February 202L.

RCW 43.19.648 - Requires all local governments to convert their vehicle fleets to electricity or
biofuet, Local governme,nts are required to hansition atl vehicles to eleeiricity or biofuels to the
extent practicable. WAC 19+29-030 provides furdrer guidance regarding this issue. If it is not
practioal for local governments to use electricity or biofirel for police, ftre or emcrgency resporurc
vehicles, including utility vehicles fiequently used for emergency response, it is encouraged to
