UN ON EMPLOYEES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERAB LITY AND PUBL CAT ON;
AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard has established certain employment benefits for non-
union employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the best interest of the City and City employees to
periodically review and update employment benefits, and, in so doing, has determined it is
appropriate to adjust the established rates of pay for non-union employees by providing a cost of
living adjustment; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNC t OF THE C TY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASH NGTON, DO ORDA N
AS FOLTOWS:
SECTION 1. All em ployees covered by this Ordinance shall be classified and compensated
in accordance with the City's biennial budget.
SECTION 2. Effective Janua ry L,2O2O the rates of pay for Non-Union Employees shall be
increased by two and three-tenths percent (2.30%1.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall not chan ge or limit other benefits not listed that covered
employees currently have through their employment with the City.
SECTION 4.Severabilitv. lf any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance
SECTION 5. Publication This Ordinance shall be published by an approved summary
consisting of the title.
sEcTroN 6.Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
five days after publication, as provided by law.
