ROAD/ANDERSON HILL ROAD SW INTERSECTION PROJECT
WHEREAS,forthe2olgUrbanArteria|Pro8ram(UAP)FundingApplicationfortheSW
old Clifton Road/Anderson Hill Road sw lntersection Project, the Transportation lmprovement
Board (TlB) requires a Funding Commitment Letter from all funding partners; and
WHEREAS,bytheAugust16,2otgdeadline,thecityofPortorchardPublicWorks
Department will be submitting a 2019 UAP Funding Application request in the amount of
Sf,OOO,OOO.OO for the SW Old Clifton Road/Anderson Hill Road SW lntersection Project for the
Construction and Construction Support phase of the Project; and
WHEREAS,SiventhattheTlBfundingrationismaximizedat35%andtheCityofPort
orchard has already provided s257,460.00 towards the Project durinS the prior design and
right-of-way phases and has already budgeted s150,ooo.o0 within the 2019/2020 Biennial
aldget, an additional S15o,ooo.00 minimum will need to be allocated within the 2o79l2o2o
aiennial Budget'if'the TIB Funding Application is successful (see Exhibit A attached); and
WHEREAS, if successful, the TIB Funding will be available to commence with the
construction ofthe sw old clifton Road/Anderson Hill Road sw lntersection Project in 2020;
now, therefore,
