A RESOTUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, APPROV NG
CONTRACT NO. CO77.T8 WITH SCHNE DER EQUIPMENT, NC. dba SCHNEIDER WATER
SERVICES FOR THE WELL #13 DR Lt NG PROJECT AND DOCUMENT NG THE
PROCUREMENT PROCEDURES.
WHEREAS, on October 25, 2018 and November 2, 20L8, the City's Public Works
Department Advertised in the Port Orchard !ndependent, the City's Webpage, the Daily
Journal of Commerce and uploaded the Bid Documents to the Washington Builder's
Exchange, with a November 28, }OLB Bid Due Date; and
WHEREAS, on November 28,2018 by the t2:OO PM Bid deadline, the City Clerk received
and opened two (21 Sealed Bids, with Schneider Equipment, Inc. dba Schneider Water
Services determined initially to be the apparent responsive Low Bid; and
WHEREAS, on December 3, 2OL8, upon completion of the Bid Tabulation and Bidder
Responsibility Checklist, it was determined that Schneider Equipment, lnc. dba Schneider
Water Services provided the lowest responsive and qualified Bid Proposal for the Well #13 -
Drilling Project; and
WHEREAS, the Port Orchard City Council, at the 2015 recommendation of the State
Auditor's Office, wishes to document their selection/procurement process as described
above for this particular contract by Resolution; now, therefore,
THE C TY COUNC L OF THE C TY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASH NGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES
AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The City Council approves Contract No. O77-L8 with Schneider Equipment, lnc.
dba Schneider Water Services for the Well #13 Drilling Project and adopts the
"Whereas" statements contained herein, as findings in support of the City's selection
and procurement procedures.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage on this LLth day of December
20L8.
