A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE
2018 CITY COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE PURSUANT TO POMC 2.04.010 MEETING
TIME AND PLACE.
WHEREAS, on July 11, 2017, City Council adopted Ordinance No. 026-17 which adopted
the classification of noncharter code city for the City of Port Orchard; and
)
WHEREAS, certain updates of the Port Orchard Municipal Code were needed; and
WHEREAS, on October 24, 2017, City Council adopted Ordinance No. 038-17 which
amends certain provisions of Chapter 2.04.010 Meeting Time and Place by stating the city council
shall hold a minimum of one meeting per month. The city council shall determine the annual
schedule for these meetings for the next calendar year no later than the last regular business
meeting of the preceding calendar year; and
WHEREAS, City Council typically will meet for regular business meetings the 2nd and 4th
Tuesday of each month, with a work study meeting the 3rd Tuesday of each month. With adoption
of the 2018 calendar, City Council may continue this schedule if needed; and!
WHEREAS, in order to streamline processes and complete the 2017 calendar year, a
schedule for the remainder of the meetings in 2017 is also being brought forward, now, therefore;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES
AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The remainder of the 2017 city council meeting calendar shall be adopted, and
meetings shall be held on:
November: 21st and 28th.
December: 12th and 19th.
THAT: The 2018 city council meeting calendar shall be adopted, and meetings shall be
held on:
January
February
March
April
May
June
July
August
September
October
November
December
9th 16th and 23rd.
13th, 20th, and 27th.
13th, 20th, and 27th.
10th, 17th, and 24th.
8th, 15th, and 22nd.
12th, 19th, and 26th.
10th, 17th, and 24th.
14thand 21st.
11th, 18th, and 25th.
9th, 16th, and 23rd.
13th, 20th, and 27th.
11th and 18th.
