A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DECLARING THE
PART TIME DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATIVE
ASSITANT POSITION A PERMANENT PART TIME JOB POSITION
WHEREAS, a temporary part time Department of Community Development
Administrative Assistant position was approved in 2015 and budgeted through April 30, 2016 to
meet increased work load due to a upswing in building permit activity, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee studied the position and work load of the
Department and determined a continued need for the position due to land use and building
permit activity having risen significantly in the last 2 years that has not yet peaked, and
WHEREAS, the Council desires the hiring of a permanent part time position to meet the
development community's needs, now, therefore;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES
AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The position of part time Administrative Assistant is a permanent part time job
position.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and attested
by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 12th day of April 2016.
