A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE FOUR (4) QUIT CLAIM DEEDS TO ALLOW FOR THE
LEGAL TRANSFER OF PROPERTIES FROM THE WEST SOUND UTILITY DISTRICT
(WSUD), THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD (CITY), KITSAP TRANSIT AND THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN AFFAIRS TO THE JOINT CITY/WSUD WASTEWATER
TREATMENT FACILITY (aka SOUTH KITSAP WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY)
WHEREAS, as a result of the approval and adoption of the April 22, 2014 Interlocal
Agreement concerning the South Kitsap Water Reclamation Facility (SKWRF) Management and
Operations; and
WHEREAS, to correct past scriveners errors to clear Title for the legal transfer of
properties from West Sound Utility District (WSUD), the City of Port Orchard (City), Kitsap
Transit and the State Department of Veteran Affairs to the joint City/WSUD Wastewater
Treatment Facility (aka SKWRF); Now, Therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
THAT: The City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute four (4) Quit Claim
Deeds to allow for the legal transfer of properties from the West Sound Utility
District (WSUD), the City of Port Orchard (City), Kitsap Transit and the State
Department of Veteran Affairs to the joint City/WSUD Wastewater Treatment
Facility (aka South Kitsap Water Reclamation Facility)
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and
attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage on this 26th day of April, 2016.
