Festival of Chimes and Lights
Committee Minutes
Monday, June 19, 2017; 3:30 p.m. at City Hall
Members present: Chair Lucarelli, Councilmember Donlin and City staff Jenine Floyd and Bill Thiele.
Guests present: Kathleen Wilson; POBSA, and Sheila Cline; Arthritis Foundation/Jingle Bell Run.
2017 Chimes and Lights Updates
Tree Donation: Bill Thiele said the Saints Car Club would like to still donate a tree. They would pick it out
and the City would come look at it. This would be around the first week in October.
Chair Lucarelli noted they have 2 or 3 trees already picked out. The Saints Car Club will be in contact with
the City to work out the details.
The Committee briefly continued the discussion regarding the tree, dates, and details.
Chimes and Lights: The Committee talked about anchoring, hanging and ownership of the lights; colored
lights; and garland.
Jingle Bell Run: In response to Ms. Cline, Chair Lucarelli said the City would like to use 20x40 tent again
this year.
The committee also discussed trash services during the event.
Additional Topics:
In response to Chair Lucarelli, staff member Floyd responded that she would provide the Chimes budget
availability at the next meeting.
The Committee talked about encouraging people to dress up in Santa costumes or related themes; and
also noted choir and other group attendance for the event.
There being no further business, Chair Lucarelli adjourned the meeting at 4:00 p.m.
