Guests present: Bobbie Stewart and Kathleen Wilson, POBSA; Sharron King, Fathoms O’ Fun; Sandy Jennings, Soroptimist; and Jordan Bair, Woodside Animal Hospital. Tree Decorating Contest Update Staff Rinearson said we have ordered 58 trees and about half have been sponsored. Chair Lucarelli noted she will be planting markers this week and will get the word out to the public. Staff Floyd will be posting public notices about the contest. City Hall Tree Update Staff Thiele said we are getting the tree from Alpine U-Cut. This year the crane will follow us so we can place the tree on the trailer. The committee discussed the tree; use of a crane; placing the tree in front of city hall; and budget for professional tree hauler. Songs for Chimes In response to Chair Lucarelli, staff Rinearson said she believes the Mayor is working on the process on how to play songs and chimes. Christmas Decorations Staff Rinearson said staff was contacted by someone asking if we wanted to purchase any Christmas decorations this year. The committee briefly discussed lights and decorations and noted they will not be purchasing new decorations this year. Public Works Misc. The committee discussed cleaning out the downtown planters and planting the trees. Miscellaneous The committee discussed this year’s brochure; event activities; firepits; volunteer locations and timeframes; Santa’s sleigh; pet parade; tractor and hayride route; Jingle Bell Run; and Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day and tree lighter Dr. John Stanley.
