Festival of Chimes and Lights
Committee Minutes
Monday, May 18, 2020; 3:30 p.m. at City Hall
Members present via Remote Access: Chair Lucarelli and City staff Rinearson, Floyd and Schuster.
Guests present via Remote Access: Bobbie Stewart, POBSA; Sharron King, Fathoms O’ Fun; Loretta
Fritz, Peak Performance Timing, LLC, and Sandy Jennings, Soroptimist.
Continued: 2020 Event Discussion
Chair Lucarelli noted we are moving forward and will adapt as we can. Most of the event will be lights
oriented which will make a difference.
The committee also discussed the run and if social distancing will have to be included. Discussions
were held regarding how to social distance during the run, number and timing of runners, when to
start the race, and effective planning.
Additional discussion was held regarding choirs, volunteers and hospitality, using recorded music,
tractors, pet parade, light displays, Santa pictures and sleigh, advertising and brochures, website,
lighted boats, health safety, tractor and hayrides, road closures and detours, lighted bicycle parade,
carolers, insurance procedures, and Elf on a Shelf downtown business game.
2020 Festival of Chimes and Lights Theme
The committee discussed various themes and agreed to bring back ideas at the next committee
meeting.
There being no further business, Chair Lucarelli adjourned the meeting at 4:25 p.m. Audio/Visual
recording was successful.
