A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH
ENTRANCO ENGINEERS, INC. TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION
MANAGEMENT SERVICES RELATING TO THE EXPANSION OF THE
JOINT WASTE WATER TREATMENT FACILITY
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard and Karcher Creek Sewer District are
engaged in the expansion of the Joint Waste Water Treatment Facility located in Port Orchard,
Washington; and
WHEREAS, the City requires construction management services from a
construction company that is experienced in the construction of waste water treatment facilities
and similar public works projects; and
WHEREAS, Entrance Engineers, Inc. has the required construction experience
and has provided the City with a cost estimate for supplying the construction management
services needed to complete the project; and
WHEREAS, based on the recommendation from City staff, the City Council finds
that Entrance Engineers, Inc. is well qualified to provide the necessary construction
management services in a manner that is both cost effective and supportive of the public
interest in the efficient completion of this project; now, therefore;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOllOWS:
THAT: The Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract with
Entrance Engineers, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $837,513 for
construction management services relating to the expansion of
the Joint Waste Water Treatment Facility, in a form approved by
the City Attorney.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 14th day of February 2005.
