A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
FIXING THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION TO
VACATE A PORTION OF CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY ON ROCKWELL
STREET ADJACENT TO BETHEL AVENUE.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: 30' X 380 STRIP OF THE VACATED PORTION OF
ROCKWELL STREET AS DESCRIBED IN THE ATTACHED PLAT MAP,
LOCATED TO THE WEST OF PARCEL NUMBER 36401-2-061-2007 BEG AT
SW COR OF NW %, NW % N 0*8'17" W 115.50 FT TO TPOB N 0*8'17"
W 549.98 FT S 89*24' E 263.68 FT TO W LN OF RD ALG RD SWLY
584.44 FT N 89*20' W 74.93 FT TO BEG EX TR IN S PT & EX N 100 FT.
WHEREAS, the Petitioners have submitted a petition to vacate a portion of City
right-of-way located on Rockwell Street adjacent to Bethel Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Petitioners constitute one hundred percent of the owners of the
property abutting the area proposed for vacation; and
WHEREAS, the property sought to be vacated is approximately 11,400 square
feet; and
WHEREFORE, Petitioners pray that proceedings be had hereon for the
Vacation of said area of said right-of-way in the manner prescribed by RCW 35.79; now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: A Public Hearing on a Petition to Vacate a portion of City
right-of-way located on Rockwell Street adjacent to Bethel
Avenue, as submitted by Eric Kvinsland, representing Kim Haldrup
and Maxine A. Bonewell, further described as follows, is hereby
fixed for Monday, January 14, 2008, in the City Council Chambers,
City Hall, 216 Prospect Street, Port Orchard, Washington.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor
and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 26'h day of November 2007.
