A RESOLUTION OF THE CTIY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
RECLASSIFYING THE EMPLOYMENT POSITION OF ACCOUNTING
CLERK TO ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT II INCLUDING THE SALARY
WAGE SCHEDULE AND ESTABLISHING THE JOB DESCRJPTIONS
FOR ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT I AND Ill AND ESTABLISHING A
SALARY WAGE SCHEDULE FOR THE EMPLOYMENT POSITION OF
ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT I AND III.
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to periodically review the duties and responsibilities
of all employment positions; and
WHEREAS, a salary survey was completed by NW Management Consulting, Inc. for all
non-represented positions and based upon the current job duties and level of responsibility it is
determined that it is appropriate to establish the job description and salary schedule for the positions of
Accounting Clerk I and III; and
WHEREAS, the job descriptions as attached hereto as Exhibit A & B and the salary step
schedule as set forth below have been reviewed by the City Council Finance/Personnel Committee and are
respectfully submitted with a recommendation for approval; now, therefore,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE THAT:
Effective December 23, 2007 the position of Accounting Clerk is reclassified to Accounting
Assistant II, including the salary wage schedule.
Effective December 23, 2007 the job descriptions attached hereto as Exhibit A & B and
the salary step schedule are established for the positions of Accounting Assistant I and Accounting
Assistant III.
Entry on the salary step schedule is subject to experience level. Advancement through
these steps is not to be considered automatic, but will be subject to satisfactory job performance:
