A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON HONORING RICK WYATT
FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE
CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
WHEREAS, Rick Wyatt, a life time member of the Port Orchard community, has
been activeJy involved in local government for over 16 years; and
WHEREAS; Rick Wyatt was appointed to the Port Orchard Planning
Commission on December 30, 1991 and served until November 12, 1995; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Rick \Vyatt was elected to the City Council on
November 13, 1995 and provided diligent public service for three terms until December 31, 2007;
and
WHEREAS, Council Member Rick Wyatt has consistently demonstrated
dedication and devotion to his community and strong leadership as a Council Committee Chair
to the Public Safety Committee, Street and Alley Committee and Fire Protection Committee;

THEREFORE THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVE:
THAT: Council Member Rick Wyatt has earned the admiration and respect of his
community for his selfless endeavors in the past two decades in local government. Particularly
noteworthy were his outstanding contributions in the following significant City accomplishments:
Attest:
The construction of City Hall;
The establishment of the Cil-y's modern professional police department;
The merger of the volunteer fire department with the local fire district;
The expansion of the regional wastewater treatment facility;
The constmction of the Port Orchard Roundabout to replace the Bethel "Y"; and
The Enhancement of the Downtown Marquee.
