A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE CONTRACT BETWEEN
THE CITY AND UNIVERSAL FIELD SERVICES, INC. AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AMENDED
CONTRACT
WHEREAS, on November 27, 2007, the City of Port Orchard entered into an eleven
month contract with Universal Field Services, Inc. regarding right-of-way acquisition for the
Tremont Widening Project; and
WHEREAS, the contract needs to be extended to allow time to acquire the property
required for the Tremont Widening Project; and
WHEREAS, the total contract amount needs to be amended from $222,802 to $230,460
for additional costs for appraisals, appraisal reviews and travel; now, therefore;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The City Council agrees to amend the contract between
the City of Port Orchard and Universal Field Services, Inc. by: 1)
extending the termination date from October 31, 2008 to
December 31, 2009 and 2) increasing the contract amount from
$222,802 to $230,460; and
FURTHER THAT: The Mayor is authorized to execute the
contract amendment attached hereto as Exhibit A and
incorporated by this reference.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and attested
by the C!erk in authentication of such passage this 9th day of December 2008.

All provisions in the basic agreement remain in effect except as expressly modified by this supplement
The changes to the agreement are described as follows:
Section 1, SCOPE OF WORK, is hereby changed to read:

Section IV, TIME FOR BEGINNING AND COMPLETION, is amended to change the number of calendar days for
completion of the work to read: Completion date to he December 31 2009
