A RESOLUTION OF THE CTIY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 WITH
NORTHERN CON-AGG, INC.
WHEREAS, Northern Con-Agg, Inc. was selected to complete construction for the
Bethel Avenue Sinkhole Project; and
WHEREAS, the contract requires a second change order to revise the contract total.
now, therefore;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The City Council approves and authorizes the Mayor to
sign Change Order No. 2 with Northern Con-Agg, Inc., reducing
the total contract amount by $7,901.23 for a revised contract total
amount of $318,591.05 for the Bethel Avenue Sinkhole Project, a
copy of which is attached as Exhibit A and incorporated by this
reference.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and attested
by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 9th day of December 2008.

Brief Description of Problem I Reason for Entitlement
The original contract was awarded without the consideration of Bid Alternate Number L
through this change order.
This is being revised
Quantities ran over on the HMA and the Roadway Excavation due to the discovery of the underground fuel tank
during construction and an unplanned repair to the water main.

Justification of Cost:
Bid Alternate Number 1 will save the contract $8,730.00. However, the addition of the HMA and Roadway
Excavation will add $828.77 back to the contract. The total change from Change Order I is a cost savings of
$7,901.23.
