A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
RECASSIFYING THE EMPLOYMENT POSffiON OF LAN/GIS
TECHNICIAN TO LAN TECH/IT MANAGER.
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to periodically review the duties and respcnsibilities
of all employment positions; and
WHEREAS, a salary survey was completed by NW Management Consulting, Inc. for all
non-represented positions and based upon the current job duties and level of responsibility it is
determined that it is appropriate to reclassify the employment position LAN/GIS Technician to LAN
Tech/IT Manager; and
WHEREAS, the current job description and salary step schedule as approved during the
2007 Salary survey shall remain in effect, this reclassification has been reviewed by the City Council
Finance/Personnel Committee and are respectfully submitted with a recommendation for approval; now,
therefore,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE THAT:
Effective upon signature of this Resolution, the employment position LAN/GIS Technician
is hereby reclassified as LAN Tech/IT Manager, and
Effective upon signature of this Resolution, the employment position of LAN/GIS
Te.chnician will be eliminated from the Salary Step Schedule, and
The Salary Step Schedule as established for the position of LAN/GIS Technician as set
forth within Resolution No. 025-07 shall remain in effect and be reclassified as LAN Tech/IT Manager;
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 26'" day of February 2008.
