A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
EXPRESSING THE CITY COUNCIL'S SUPPORT FOR A NEW
MARKET TAX CREDIT PROJECT TO BE DEVELOPED WITHIN THE
CITY'S LIMITS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 004-07 the City Council authorized the Kitsap
County Consolidated Housing Authority to exercise public development authority powers in
conjunction with the allocation and use of new market tax credits; and
WHEREAS, it was the intent of the City Council that when the Housing Authority
identified a development project within the City's limits that qualified for use of new market tax
credits, the Housing Authority would brief the City Council and the public regarding the
proposed project; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority has identified a suitable development project
and made a presentation to the City Council at a regularly scheduled Council meeting on March
25, 2008; now, therefore;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The Port Orchard City Council expresses it support for the
application of new market tax credits to a proposed mixed use
development project to be located at Frederick Avenue and Bay
Street.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 25th day of March 2008.
