A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, FIXING
THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION
OF CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY ON STROUFE STREET AND A PORTION OF CITY
RIGHT-OF-WAY ON ROCKWELL AVENUE.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED VACATION OF A PORTION OF SROUFE
STREET (5400 SQ. FT.): THE EAST 90' OF SROUFE STREET LOCATED IN PORT
ORCHARD, WA.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED VACATION OF A PORTION OF
ROCKWELL AVENUE (3600 SQ. FT.): THE SOUTH 120' OF ROCKWELL AVENUE
LOCATED IN PORT ORCHARD, WA.
WHEREAS, the Petitioners have submitted a petition to vacate portions of City
right-of-way located on Stroufe Street and Rockwell Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Petitioners constitute one hundred percent of the owners of the
property abutting the area proposed for vacation; and
WHEREAS, the property sought to be vacated is approximately 5,400 square
feet of Stroufe Street and 3,600 square feet of Rockwell Avenue; and
WHEREFORE, Petitioners have requested that proceedings be had hereon for
the vacation of said area of said right-of-way in the manner prescribed by Chapter 35.79 RCW;
now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: A Public Hearing on a Petition to vacate a portion of City right-of-
way located at the east 90' of Stroufe Street, and to vacate a portion of
City right-of-way located at the south 120' of Rockwell Avenue, as
submitted by Lars S. Kvinsland, is hereby set for Tuesday, September 23,
2008, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 216 Prospect
Street, Port Orchard, Washington.
