A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN CONTRACT FOR MUNICIPAL
CODE CODIFICATION SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City previously used the services of Code Publishing to codify its
ordinances into the existing Municipal Code book. Code Publishing Company will provide online
updates to the City's Code in an effort to provide residents and staff with the most up to date
version available; and
WHEREAS, City staff finds that maintaining the existing Code, both paper and
electronic formats, to be burdensome; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the City's interest to enter into a contract
with Code Publishing Company for Municipal Code Codification Services;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The Mayor is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City,
the Municipal Code Codification Services Contract No. 001-09, in
substantially the form attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein, with Code Publishing Company effective
January 1, 2009.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and attested
by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 13th day of January 2009.
