A RESOLUTION OF THE CI1Y OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON RENAMING THE JOINT TREATMENT
FACILI1Y TO THE SOUTH KITSAP WATER
RECLAMATION FACILI1YTHEREOF
WHEREAS, the Joint Wastewater Treatment Facility is jointly owned and operated by
the City of Port Orchard and West Sound Utility District; and
WHEREAS, both the City of Port Orchard and West Sound Utility District concur that
the Joint Wastewater Treatment Facility should have a name that better reflects its contribution
to the Port Orchard and South Kitsap community; and
WHEREAS, on March 2, 2009, West Sound Utility District adopted Resolution 103-
09, renaming the Joint Wastewater Treatment Facility to South Kitsap Water Reclamation
Facility; now, therefore,
THE CI1Y COUNCIL OF THE CI1Y OF PORT ORCHARD DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE THE FOLLOWING:
THAT: The Joint Wastewater Treatment Facility is renamed the South Kitsap
Water Reclamation Facility.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 24th day of March 2009.
