A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AWARDING A BID FOR THE 2009 SEWER
TV & LINING MAINTENANCE CONTRACT TO MICHELS
CORPORATION
WHEREAS, on February 12, 2009 the City of Port Orchard issued a request for
proposals to three (3) companies listed on the 2009 Public Works Small Works Roster for the
following work: Annual Sewer TV & Lining Maintenance for cleaning, TV, pipe patching, root
cutting and grouting of specified portions of the City's sanitary sewer system; and
WHEREAS, on February 26, 2009, Michels Corporation, which is located in Salem,
Oregon submitted a bid of $178, 440.66; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems Michels Corporation to be the lowest responsible
bidder; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: For the reasons set forth above, the contract for Annual
Sewer TV & Lining Maintenance is awarded to Michels
Corporation as the lowest responsible bidder.
PASS ED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and attested
by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 24th day of March 2009.
