A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 018-08, AND PROVIDING THE
PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR AND MAYOR WITH CHANGE ORDER
AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, on Februmy 12, 2008, the City Council passed Resolution No. 018-
o8, which provided that the Public Works Director could approve change orders up to
$1,000; change orders over $1,000 but less than or equal to$15,000 could be approved by
the Mayor and all change orders over $15,000 would be approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Port Orchard to facilitate the timely and
efficient conduct of city business; and
WHEREAS, it is the Council's intent that change orders, on a per project basis, not
less than $15,000 may be approved by the Public Works Director; change orders over
$15,000 and under $25,000 may be approved by the Mayor; and change orders greater
than $25,000 shall be reviewed by the City Council; now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: Resolution No. 018-08, is repealed in its entirety.
THAT: The Public Works Director's change order authority is limited to
$15,000 or less.
THAT: Change orders over $15,000 and less than $25,000 may be approved
by the Mayor.
THAT: The change order dollar thresholds apply on a per project basis; and
change orders in excess of $25,000 shall be reviewed for approval by
the City Council at its next regularly scheduled meeting.
