A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, RATIFING THE PUBLIC WORKS
DIRECTOR'S EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH
KITSAP COUNTY FOR THE ANNUAL ROAD
STRIPING PROJECT
WHEREAS, on June 9, 2009, the Port Orchard City Council adopted Resolution
No. 059-09, thereby repealing Resolution No. 018-08, and providing the Public Works
Director and the Mayor with Change Order Authority; and
WHEREAS, staff understood that it was Council's intent to provide the Public
Works Director and Mayor with general purchase authority up to $15,000 and $25,000
respectively for budgeted items; and
WHEREAS, on June 11, 2009, the City of Port Orchard received a Request &
Agreement for Reimbursable Work Performed by Kitsap County Public Works
Department for the 2009 Road Striping of City Streets in an amount of $13,528, which
is within the $15,000 limitation and intent previously set forth by Resolution No. 059-
09;and
WHEREAS, the approved 2009 Budget allocated $15,000.00 for annual road
striping of City Streets from the Road and Street Maintenance fund; now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: Council ratifies the Public Works Director's execution of
contract with Kitsap County for the Annual Road Striping project,
in an amount not to exceed $13,528, with funds from Road and
Street Maintenance.

The undersigned hereby requests that the following described work and/or service be
performed by the Kitsap County Public Works Department for the agency and/or
department shown below. It is understood that this work will be done at the
convenience of the Public Works Department and that the undersigned agency and/or
department will reimburse all costs.
