A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 WITH HEMLEY'S
SEPTIC TANK CLEANING FOR MCCORMICK WOODS
ANNUAL SEPTIC TANK MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, on February 10, 2009, the Port Orchard City Council adopted
Resolution No. 013-09, thereby authorizing the Mayor to execute the McCormick Woods
Annual Septic Tank Maintenance Program Contract; and
WHEREAS, on February 16, 2009, the City of Port Orchard entered into a
Contract with Remley's Septic Tank Cleaning, Inc. regarding the 2009 McCormick
Woods Annual Septic Tank Maintenance Program; and
WHEREAS, to date, only 117 of the annual 133 septic tanks programmed were
able to be pumped-out due to budget limitations, therefore leaving 16 remaining septic
tanks to be maintained; and
WHEREAS, on May 12, 2009, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 012-09,
thereby amending the 2009 Budget, which included additional septic tank maintenance
funding; and
WHEREAS, the total contract amount needs to be amended from $25,348.05 to
$28,814-45 for maintaining the remaining 16 septic tanks @ $216.65 per tank; now,
therefore;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The City Council agrees to amend the contract between the City of
Port Orchard and Remley's Septic Tank Cleaning, Inc. by increasing the
contract amount from $25,348.05 to $28,814-45; and

FURTHER THAT: The Mayor is authorized to execute Change Order
No. 1 (Exhibit A) with Hemley's Septic Tank Cleaning, Inc. for the 2009
McCormick Woods Annual Septic Tank Maintenance Program.
PASS ED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 23rd day of Jun 2009. /
