RESOLUTION NO. 069-09
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CONTRACT WITH WARD C. MULLER &
ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR SANITARY SEWER EASEMENTS
ASSOCIATED WITH THE GRANLUND PROPERTY
WHEREAS, on March 18, 2009, the City of Port Orchard Director of Public
Works met with Ms. Rebecca Granlund regarding sanitary sewer services issues relating
to her property located at 593 South Street, whereby the absence of existing upstream
sanitary sewer easements for the City's sanitary sewer main was discovered; and
WHEREAS, on Apri117, 2009, the Utilities Committee directed Staff to send a
letter to Ms. Granlund (letter dated May 1, 2009), clarifying the City's position with
respect to her property and future actions to be taken by the City with respect to
obtaining needed sanitary sewer easements; and
WHEREAS, on May 15, 2009, the Utilities Committee directed Staff to obtain
professional survey services cost proposals needed for sanitary sewer easement
resolution associated with the Granlund property upstream sewer condition; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard received two (2) proposals from local
surveyors listed on the 2009 Professional Service Roster, with Ward C. Muller &
Associates, Inc. being the lowest complete bidder with a bid of $6,o8o; now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The City Council authorizes the Mayor to execute the contract
with Ward C. Muller & Associates, Inc. for Sanitary Sewer Easements
Associated with the Granlund Property, in an amount not to exceed
$6,080.
