RESOLUfiON NO. 072-09
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CONTRACT WITH RODNEY EWING FOR
REPAIRS TO LIBRARY MURAL
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to repair the mural on the building that
houses the Port Orchard Library due to failure of the paint; and
WHEREAS, Port Orchard Library Director Kathleen Wilson located a local
artist who is willing to do the necessary repairs to the mural; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that repairing the Library Mural will enhance the
beauty of the downtown {'Orridor and encourage tourism in our community; now,
therefore;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with
Mr. Rodney Ewing to repair the mural located on the Port
Orchard Library building, 87 Sidney Avenue, in an amount
not to exceed $8oo, upon review and approval of the City
Attorney.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 14th da o July 2009
