RESOLUTION NO. 091-09
A RESOLUfiON OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, APPROVING AND ADOPTING A WATER USE
EFFICIENCY GOAL FOR THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD
WHEREAS, state law r equires that cities establish conservation goals for water
consumption; and
WHEREAS, on April 3, 2009, a Public Workshop was h e ld r egarding the
proposed ,,vat er rate adjustment and the new water use efficiency goal for the city; and
WHEREAS, on April 22, 2009, a Public Hearing was h eld r egarding the
proposed ,,vat er rate a djus tment and the new water use efficiency goal for the city; now,
ther efore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The City of Port Orchard's water use efficiency goal shall be to
reduce Single Family Re s idential water consumption from 160 GPD to
155 GPD by 2014, which is a 0.5% annual reduction.
