A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON AliTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUfE
CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 EXTENDING CONrRAcr FOR WELL NO.
11 WITH CHARON DRILLING, INC. (PW2009-01)
WHEREAS, on July 28, 2009, the Pmt Orchard City Council authorized the
Mayor to execute a contract with Charon Well Drilling, Inc. for the Well No. 11 Cable-
Tool Drilling project (formerly Well No. s) to replace existing Well Nos. 1, 2 and 3
(PW2009-01); and
WHEREAS, the Notice to Proceed was issued by the City of Port Orchard on
August 12, 2009, with an associated 90-day completion schedule, thereby establishing a
completion date of November 10, 2009; arid
WHEREAS, unforeseen circumstances have delayed this project and a contract
extension to March 31, 2010, is necessary to complete the project; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The City Council authorizes the Mayor to extend the contract
with Charon Well Drilling, Inc. by executing Change Order No.1, thereby
incorporating Change Order No. 1 by reference for the Well No. 11
(formerly Well No. 5) Cable-Tool Drilling Project (PW2009-01).

attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage 7 of December 2009
