020-10 - Resolution - Design Review Board Recommendation for Project at 710 Bay StreetIntroduced by: Requested by: Drafted by: Introduced: Adopted: RESOLUTION NO. 020-10 Development Director Development Director Development Director May 11,2010 May 11,2010 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, APPROVING THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD'S RECOMMENDATION FOR PROJECT DRB-001-10 LOCATED AT 710 BAY STREET WHEREAS, The Design Review Board is appointed by the Mayor and tasked by the City Council to provide input into issues related to architectural design and; WHEREAS, The Design Review Board makes recommendations to the City Council as appropriate in conformance with Port Orchard Municipal Code Chapter 2.20 and; WHEREAS, The City in conformance with the City of Port Orchard Municipal Code and as outlined Chapter 2.78, has created a Design Review Board (DRB) consisting of a minimum of five and maximum of seven members of the public and; now, therefore; WHEREAS, the Design Review Board of the City of Port Orchard, Washington, based upon the findings and conclusions below regarding Design Review Board Resolution 001-10, recommended approval to the City Council for the proposed project DRB-001-10 located at 710 Bay Street. WHEREAS, the being full advised, the City Council finds and concludes as follow: FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS Based upon the recommendation of the Design Review Board, the application was approved by three quarters or more of the appointed members of the DRB as noted in Design Review Board Resolution DRB-001-10; that the design is consistent with the purposes, intent, and objectives of the applicable Port Orchard design standards. Resolution No . 020 -10 Page 2 of 2 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: THAT: the Port Orchard City Council hereby adopts the findings and conclusions of Design Review Board Resolution DRB-001-10, and approves project DRB-001-10 located at 710 Bay Street, as submitted; provided if any portion of the project intrudes into the SR 166 right-of-way, the applicant shall comply with the requirements of the Washington State Department of Transpmtation, if any, prior to issuance of a building permit.
