RESOLUTION NO. 026-13
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, SPONSORING A NON-CITY ENTITY
APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE ASSOCIATION OF
WASHINGTON CITIES (AWC) WORKERS' COMPENSATION
RETROSPECTIVE RATING PROGRAM (RETRO)
WHEREAS, Kitsap Transit, by board resolution 83-22, has been providing
public transportation services for the City of Port Orchard since 1983; and
WHEREAS, Kitsap Transit is seeking application to participate in the AWC
Workers' Compensation Retrospective Rating Program as a non-city governmental
entity; and
WHEREAS, the AWC Workers' Compensation Retrospective Rating Program
underwriting criteria requires sponsorship of non-city entities by a current AWC
member-city; and
WHEREAS, non-city entity applications are reviewed by the AWC RETRO
Advisory Committee for recommendation to the A WC Board Executive Committee for
approval/non-approval; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD ,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
THAT: The City of Port Orchard, by passage of this resolution, agrees to
sponsor Kitsap Transit for its application to become a member of the AWC
Workers' Compensation Retrospective Rating Program as a non-city entity.
PASS ED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, SIGNED by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 12th day of November, 2013.
