ORDINANCE NO. o16-13
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING SECTION 2.36.oio OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO THE AMOUNT FOR THE
FAITHFUL PERFORMANCE BONDS FOR THE OFFICERS
AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY PORT ORCHARD.
WHEREAS, in a city of the second class, the treasurer, city attorney, clerk, chief of
police, and such other officers as the council may require shall each, before entering upon
the duties of office, take an oath of office and execute and file with the clerk an official bond;
and
WHEREAS, the Council shall determine the penal sum, conditioned for the faithful
performance of the officers and employees duties and otherwise conditions that may be
provided by ordinance; Now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 2.36.oio of the Port Orchard Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
The amounts for the faithful performance bonds for the officers and
employees of the City of Port Orchard are fixed as follows:

The premiums for such bonds shall be paid by the City.

SECTION 2. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance should be
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or
unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity of constitutionality of any other section,
sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance.
SECTION � . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after
posting and publication as required by law. A summary of this Ordinance may be published
in lieu of the entire ordinance, as authorized by State Law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor
and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this day of
2013.
