ORDINANCE NO.004-13
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, REPEALING CHAPTER 2.26 "LIBRARY" OF THE
PORT ORCHARD MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, on January 8,1968 the City established a Library; and
WHEREAS, on April 27, 2010, the City requested a ballot proposition to the
voters to authorize annexation of the City's Library into the Kitsap County Rural Library
District; and
WHEREAS, on August 17, 2010 the voters of the City approved the annexing of
the City's Library into the Kitsap County Rural Library District; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City to
clarify the Code by repealing Chapter 2.26 Library Port Orchard Municipal Code in its
entirety; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION i. Repealer. Chapter 2.26 "Library" of the Port Orchard Municipal
Code is hereby repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 2. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance should
be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such
invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity of constitutionality of any
other section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after
posting and publication as required by law. A summary of this Ordinance may be
published in lieu of the entire ordinance, as authorized by State Law.

PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the
