ORDINANCE NO.024-12
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON ADOPTING THE FINAL BUDGET FOR THE
YEAR 2013
WHEREAS, the preliminary budget for the calendar year 2013, available
October 1, 2012, was submitted to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on revenue sources on
October 23, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the Council Finance Committee met three times between October 15,
and November 8, 2012 to discuss the preliminary budget and to make final
recommendations to the Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held two work study sessions on the 2013
preliminary budget, on October 16, and November 20, 2012 and considered the Council
Finance Committee's recommendations; and
WHEREAS, a Notice of Budget Hearing was published on November 9, and
November 16, 2012 in the Port Orchard Independent newspaper stating the 2013
preliminary budget was on file with the City Clerk and copies could be obtained at the
office of the City Treasurer, and inviting the public to attend and/or submit written
comments at the public hearing held November 27, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on November 27, 2012
regarding the preliminary budget for calendar year 2013; and
WHEREAS, a copy of the 2013 preliminary budget has been on file with the City
Treasurer for examination by the public during the time it was considered by the City
Council; now, therefore,

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The budget of the City of Port Orchard for the year 2013, is hereby
adopted in its entirety as the final annual budget of the City of Port Orchard for calendar
year 2013 as set forth below:

posting and publication as required by law. A summary of this Ordinance may be
published in lieu of the entire ordinance, as authorized by State law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, APPROVED by the Mayor
and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 11th day of December
