AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON ADOPTING THE FINAL BUDGET FOR THE YEAR
2012
WHEREAS, the preliminary budget for the calendar year 2012, available October
3, 2011 was submitted to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on revenue sources on
October 25, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the Council Finance Committee met three times between October 14,
and November 9, 2011 to discuss the preliminary budget and to make final
recommendations to the Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held two work study sessions on the 2012
preliminary budget, on October 18, and November 15, 2011 and considered the Council
Finance Committee's recommendations; and
WHEREAS, a Notice of Budget Hearing was published on November 4 and
November 11, 2011 in the Kitsap Sun newspaper stating the 2012 preliminary budget was
on file with the City Clerk and copies could be obtained at the office of the City Treasurer,
and inviting the public to attend and/or submit written comments at the public hearing
held November 22, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on November 22, 2011
regarding the preliminary budget for calendar year 2012; and
WHEREAS, a copy of the 2012 preliminary budget has been on file with the City
Treasurer for examination by the public during the time it was considered by the City
Council; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section i. The budget of the City of Port Orchard for the year 2012, is hereby
adopted in its entirety as the final annual budget of the City of Port Orchard for calendar
year 2012 as set forth below:
