AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON ADOPTING THE FINAL BUDGET FOR THE
YEAR 2010
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on revenue sources on
October 27, 20o9; and
WHEREAS, the preliminary budget for the calendar year 2oio was submitted to
the City Council on October 26, 2oo9; and
WHEREAS, a Notice of Budget Hearing was published on November 13 and
November 27, 2009 in the Port Orchard Independent newspaper stating the 2010
preliminary budget was on file with the City Cleric and copies could be obtained at the
office of the City- Treasurer, and inviting the public to attend and/or submit written
comments at the public hearing to be held December 7, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the Council Finance Committee met twice between November 11 and
November 13, 2009 to discuss the preliminary budget and to make final
recommendations to the Council; and
WHEREAS, City Council held a study session on the 2olo preliminary budget, on
December 2, 20o9 and considered the Council Finance Committee's recommendations;
and
WHEREAS, the Citv Council held a public hearing on December 7, 2009
regarding the preliminary budget for calendar year 2010; and
WHEREAS, a copy of the 2010 preliminary budget is on file with the City
Treasurer for examination by the public during the time it was considered by the City
Council; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCIHARD,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

adopted in its entirety as the final annual budget of the City of Port Orchard for calendar
year 20ro as set forth below:
