031-09 - Ordinance - Amending Chapter 10.66 Snow RouteIntroduced by: Requested by: Drafted by: Reviewed by: Introduced: Adopted ORDINANCE NO. 031-09 Public Works Director Public Works Director Public Works Director City Attorney December 8, 2009 December 8, 2009 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, AMENDING PORT ORCHARD MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 1o.66 SNOWROUTE, BYUPDATINGTHE ESTABLISHED "SNOW ROUTES" WITHIN THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City of Port Orchard to establish snow routes for use during periods of snow and ice and these routes are codified in Port Orchard Municipal Code Chapter ro.66; and WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard annexed McCormick Woods in July of 2009 and the Public Works Department has recommended that snow routes be established for this recently added area of the City; now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section io.66.oio of the Port Orchard Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 1o.66.olo Established. A "snow route" is established in the City of the Port Orchard for use during periods of snow or ice, as follows: (i) Kitsap Street from Bay Street to Seattle Avenue; (2) Seattle Avenue from Kitsap Street to Dwight Street; (3) Dwight Street from Seattle Avenue to Harrison Avenue; (4) Harrison Avenue from Dwight Street to Division Street; (5) Division Street from Harrison Avenue to Sidney Avenue; (6) Sidney Avenue from Division Street to Melcher Street; (7) Dekalb Street from Mitchell Road SE to Tracy Avenue N; (8) Tracy Avenue N from Dekalb Sheet to Chester Street; (9) Chester Street from Tracy Avenue N to Farragut Avenue N; (to) Farragut Avenue N from Chester Street to Dekalb Street; (ir) Old Clifton Road from Tremont Street to Campus Parkway; Ordinance No. 031-09 Page 2 of 2 (12) McCormick Woods Drive SW from Old Clifton Road to Glenwood Road SW; (13) Hawkstone Avenue from McCormick Woods Drive SW to north end; (14) Marymac Drive SW from McCormick Woods Drive SW to Hawkstone Avenue; (15) Gleneagle Avenue from McCormick Woods Drive SW to Marymac Drive SW; (16) St. Andrews Drive from McCormick Woods Drive SW to Rutherford Circle SW; (17) Marbellet Avenue from Old Clifton Road to SW Siskin Circle; (18) SW Siskin Circle; and (19) Chanting Circle SW. SECTION 2. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity of constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after posting and publication as required by law. A summary of this Ordinance may be published in lieu of the entire ordinance, as authorized by State Law.
