AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR
2008, ORDERING APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE
STREET FUND FOR A PUBLIC PARKING GARAGE DESIGN
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard adopted its 2008 Budget in Ordinance No.
042-07; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to keep current on budget amendments and it is
necessary from time to time to make adjustments to accounts and/or funds by means of
appropriation adjustments that could not have been anticipated at the time of passage of the 2008
Budget, as provided for in RCW 35.33.091; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved a downtown parking feasibility study in the
2007 budget and the study was completed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, at their May 20, 2008 Work Study Session,
concurred to move forward with a public parking garage design; and
WHEREAS, the source of revenue for the appropriation to design a public parking
garage will come from the Street Fund; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section L That the 2008 Budget be amended to reflect the following
Appropriation to pay for the design of a public parking garage from the
Street Fund: $50,000.
Section 2. That the 2008 Budget be amended to reflect the following
additional revenue:
Unencumbered fund balance from the Street Fund totaling $50,000.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after
posting and publication as required by law. A summary of this ordinance may be published in lieu
of the entire ordinance, as authorized by State law.
