AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2007 AS ADOPTED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 025-06.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard adopted its 2007 Budget in Ordinance No. 025-06; and
WHEREAS, the City budgeted a total of $106,000 to purchase three police cars from the
Cumulative Reserve for Equipment Replacement Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City has incurred costs in 2007 totaling $111,180 for purchasing three
police cars; and
WHEREAS, unencumbered portions of fund balances are available to offset these additional
2007 expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the City Council declares an emergency pursuant to RCW 35.33.091 for the
purpose of meeting additional expenditures in 2007 not reasonably foreseeable at the time the 2007 budget
was adopted in Ordinance 025-06; now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the 2007 Budget be amended to reflect the following additional revenues:
(a) Unencumbered fund balance from Cumulative Reserve for Equipment Replacement
Fund totaling $5,180.
Section 2. That the 2007 Budget be amended to reflect the following:
(a) Appropriation of $5,180 from the Cumulative Reserve for Equipment
Replacement Fund to pay for the balance of the police cars.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after posting and
publication as required by law. A summary of this ordinance may be published in lieu of the entire ordinance,
as authorized by State law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard and signed by the Mayor and
