The following is a summary of an Ordinance approved by the Port Orchard City Council at their regular
Council meeting held June 12, 2006.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON AMENDING THE
BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2006 AS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 025-05 TO RECOGNIZE
CHANGES TO CERTAIN REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES NOT ANTICIPATED AT THE TIME
OF PASSAGE OF THE 2006 BUDGET
Copies of Ordinance No. 013-06 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port
Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any
interested person without charge. Thirty days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 013-06 will be
provided at a nominal charge.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2006 AS ADOPTED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 025-05 TO RECOGNIZE CHANGES TO CERTAIN
REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES NOT ANTICIPATED AT THE TIME OF
PASSAGE OF THE 2006 BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard adopted its 2006 Budget in Ordinance No. 025-05; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to keep current on budget amendments; and
WHEREAS, the construction for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion project is still
in the process of being completed; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Trust Fund loan retainage of $840,000.00 will not be available
until the expansion project is finished; and
WHEREAS, an inter -fund loan is necessary to pay expenses relating to the expansion prior
to the release of retainage and therefore, it is necessary to make adjustments to accounts and/or funds by
means of appropriation adjustments that could not have been anticipated at the time of passage of the 2006
Budget, as provided for in RCW 35.33.091; and
WHEREAS, the source of revenue for the additional appropriation will come from the
Cumulative Reserve for Municipal Facilities Fund to the Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion Fund; now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the 2006 Budget be amended to reflect the following:
(a) The appropriation of Fund Balance from the Cumulative Reserve for Municipal
Facilities Fund: $840,000.00.
(b) The transfer into the Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion Fund: $840,000.00.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after posting
and publication as required by law. A summary of this ordinance may be published in lieu of the entire
ordinance, as authorized by State law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard and signed by the Mayor and
attested by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 12th day of June, 2006.
