AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
SECTION 2.60.010 AND REPEALING SECTION 2.60.020 OF THE PORT ORCHARD
MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS COMPENSATION
Copies of Ordinance No, 020-05 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port
Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any
interested person without charge. Thirty days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 020-05 will be
provided at a nominal charge.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING SECTION 2.60.010 AND REPEALING
SECTION 2.60,020 OF THE PORT ORCHARD MUNICIPAL CODE
REGARDING CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS COMPENSATION
WHEREAS, the current City Council salary as of lanuary 1, 2005 is $385.62 per
regular council meeting; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to discontinue the cost of living adjustment
provided in Port Orchard Municipal Code Section 2.60.020; now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTT.ON 1. Section 2.60.010 of the Port Orchard Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
2.60.010 Per meeting rate
City council members shall receive compensation in the amount of $385.62 per
regular council meeting.
SFCITON 2. Section 2,60.020 of the Port Orchard Municipal Code is hereby repealed.
SFCTTON 34 This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after posting
and publication as required by law. A summary of this Ordinance may be published in lieu of the
entire Ordinance, as authorized by State law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Orchard, signed by the Mayor and attested
by the Clerk in authentication of such passage this 24th day of October 2005.
