021-05 - Ordinance - Amending the 2005 BudgetNOTICE OF CITY OF PORT ORCHARD ORDINANCE The following is a summary of an Ordinance approved by the Port Orchard City Council at their regular Council meeting held October 24, 2005. ORDINANCE NO. 021-05 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2005 AS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1958 AND ORDERING APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER OF FUNDS RELATING TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY EXPANSION. Copies of Ordinance No. 021-05 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any interested person without charge. Thirty days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 021-05 will be provided at a nominal charge. WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard adopted its 2005 Budget in Ordinance No. WHEREAS, the City desires to keep current on budget amendments; and WHEREAS, because of the status of the construction for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion project it is necessary to make adjustments to accounts and/or funds by means of appropriation adjustments that could not have been anticipated at the time of passage of the 2005 Budget, as provided for in RCW 35.33.091; and WHEREAS, the source of revenue for the additional appropriation will come from the transfer of funds as set forth in Section 2 below, together with payments to be received directly from Karcher Creek Sewer District up to the amount of $1,175,000.00; and WHEREAS, the use of funds from the Water -Sewer Cumulative Reserve Fund and the Water -Sewer Revenue Bonds, 1984 Fund for construction expenses related to the Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion was previously authorized by Ordinance No. 1848; now, therefore, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS; Section 1. That the 2005 Budget be amended to reflect the following appropriation of revenue to pay for construction from the Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion Fund: Capital Outlays - Improvements Construction $2,930,000.00 Section 2. That the following appropriations for transfer of revenue and fund balance to the Wastewater Treatment Facility Expansion Fund is hereby ordered: (a) An amount up to $180,000.00 from the Water -Sewer Cumulative Reserve Fund. (b) An amount up to $1,575,000.00 from the Water -Sewer Revenue Bonds, 1984 Fund. Ordinance 021-05 Page 2of2 Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after posting and publication as required by law. A summary of this ordinance may be published in lieu of the entire ordinance, as authorized by State law.
