1960 - Ordinance - Establishing Public Service Officer-Court Security/Police SupportORDINANCE NO.1960 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON ESTABLISHING THE EMPLOYMENT POSITION OF "PUBLIC SERVICE OFFICER — COURT SECURITY/POLICE SUPPORT" AND PROVIDING A WAGE RATE FOR THIS POSITION. WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need for a limited commission civilian law enforcement classification that requires a variety of law enforcement support duties; and WHEREAS, it is beneficial to the health, safety, and welfare of the City to establish a Public Service Officer — Court Security/Police Support position with the duties and responsibilities set forth in the job description attached hereto as Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the job description as attached hereto and the salary step schedule as set forth below have been reviewed by the City Council's Public Safety Committee and are respectfully submitted with a recommendation for approval; now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SeCtoo^ I Effective January 1, 2005 the position of Public Service Officer — Court Security/Police Support is established with the duties and responsibilities set forth in the job description attached as Exhibit A.
