The following is a summary of an Ordinance approved by the Port Orchard City Council at their regular
Council meeting held February 24, 2003.
ORDINANCE NO. 1893
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD ZONING CODE AND MAP
TO IDENTIFY PARCELS SUBJECT TO SITE SPECIFIC REZONE
ORDINANCES.
Copies of Ordinance No. 1893 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port
Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any
interested person without charge. Thirty days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1893 will be
provided at a nominal charge.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON
AMENDING THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD ZONING CODE AND MAP
TO IDENTIFY PARCELS SUBJECT TO SITE SPECIFIC REZONE
ORDINANCES.
WHEREAS, on December 28, 1998. the city council in Ordinance No. 1748, adopted the
WHEREAS, prior and subsequent to the adoption of the Zoning Map, several properties
city of Port Orchard Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map; and
were rezoned pursuant to site plan specific rezone ordinances;
WHEREAS, in adopting Ordinance No. 1748 it was the city council's intention that site
plan specific rezone ordinances remain in effect and that the respective parcels remain bound by the site
plan specific requirements of each ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Map does not currently identify which parcels are subject to site
WHEREAS, the city council desires to make it easier for the public to identify which
plan specific rezone ordinances; and
parcels are subject to site plan specific rezone ordinances, now therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 1748, The city of Port Orchard Zoning Ordinance, Part
61, Section 1, Soecial is hereby amended to read as follows:
Cf - Community Facilities
-ce - Critical environmental overlay designation
-sdod - Special district overlay designation
-down - Downtowdwaterfront district
-hist - Historic residential neighborhood
-Toss - Ross Creek corridor
-jack - Blackjack Creek corridor
-trmt - Tremont Corridor
-vp - View Protection Oveday Zone
-p - Property-specific development standards
-sp - Site p/an specific rezone ordinance
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 1748, The city of Port Orchard Zoning Ordinance, Part
51, Section 15: Zoning maps and boundaries is hereby renumbered Section 16.
SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 1748, The city of Port Orchard Zoning Ordinance, Part
61, is amended by a new Section 15 to read as follows:
Section 15: Site plan specific rezone ordinance f-sp)
The purpose of the site plan specific rezone ordinance designation (-sp
suffix to zone's map symbol) is to indicate that the property is subject to a
site plan specific rezone ordinance. Any major modification, deviation or
departure from the originally approved site plan shall require city council
approval in accordance with Part 2 of the city of Port Orchard Planning and
Development Procedures. Removal of the -sp suftix shall be made by
ordinance amending the zoning map.

SECTION 4. Ordinance No. 1748. The city of Port Orchard Zoning Map is hereby
amended as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and by reference incorporated herein.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after posting
and publication as required by law. A summary of this Ordinance may be published in lieu of the entire
Ordinance, as authorized by State law.
