AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON,
REPEALING PORT ORCHARD MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 3.48
REGARDING EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES SIX-YEAR LEVY
FUND-1980
Copies of Ordinance No. 1880 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port
Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any
interested person without charge. Thirty days after publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1880 will be
provided at a nominal charge.

ORDINANCE NO. 1880
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, KITSAP
COUNTY, WASHINGTON REPEALING PORT ORCHARD MUNICIPAL
CODE CHAPTER 3.48 REGARDING EMERGENCY MEDICAL
SERVICES SIX-YEAR SPECIAL LEVY FUND-1980.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Orchard annexed to the Kitsap County Fire Protection
District #7 on November 6. 2001 and as of January 1. 2003 they will collect the emergency medical
services tax levy directly from Kitsap County for any current and future taxes, and
WHEREAS, any collection of delinquent taxes the City of Port Orchard receives in
the future will go to the Current Expense Fund to repay the money used to pay Kitsap County Fire
Protection District #7 in the years the tax collection fell short of the amount needed to pay the
mileage rate, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Special Fund known as "Emergency Medical Services Six-
Year Special Levy Fund-1980 is hereby abolished as of December 31,2002.
SECTION 2. Port Orchard Municipal Code Chapter 3.48 is hereby repealed in
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pori Orchard on this 23d day of
December 2002 and APPROVED by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of such
passage.
