1841 - Ordinance - Adopting the 2002 Budget and Levying a TaxNOTICE OF CITY OF PORT ORCHARD ORDINANCE The following is a summary of an Ordinance approved by the Port Orchard City Council at their regular Council meeting held December 10,2001, ORDINANCE NO. 1841 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2002 AND LEVYING A TAX SUFFICIENT TO RAISE $727,203 FOR CURRENT EXPENSE PURPOSES AND $628,580 FOR STREET PURPOSES. Copies of Ordinance No. 1841 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any interested person without charge. Thirty days afler publication, copies of Ordinance No. 1841 will be provided at a nominal charge. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS Section 1. That the proposed budget of the City of Port Orchard for the year 2002, as prepared, be and the same is hereby adopted in its entirety. Section 2. That there be and hereby is levied against ail of the real estate and personal property within the corporate limits of the City of Port Orchard, not exempt from taxation, a tax sufficient to raise a total of $1,355,783. Section 3. That there be levied a tax sufficient to raise $727,203 for Current Expense purposes and $623,580 for Street purposes. recapitulated below Section 4.
