WA 98366 ORDINANCE NO. 1819 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE WILLIAM WILEY, ET AL. ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, owners of the real property, hereinafter described, according to the assessed valuation per general taxation, has petitioned the Council of the City of Port Orchard that said tenitory be annexed to and become a part of the Ci of Port Orchard; and WHEREAS, the City Council did fix Monday, January 8,2001 at the hour of 7:35 PM. for the Public Hearing on said petition and the Clerk of the City of Port Orchard did give notice of said hearing in the manner provided by law; and WHEREAS, the City Council at their regular scheduled meeting on the 8th day of January 2001, did hold a hearing on said petition and unanimously approved the same; WHEREAS, the Kitsap County Boundary Review Board, as required by law, has been convened and has made the determination that it is in favor of the annexation of the area hereinafter described and did not hold a Boundary Review Board public hearing, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. THAT the following described territory comprised of 11.80 acres contiguous to the City of Port Orchard be, and the same hereby is, annexed to the City of Port Orchard and from and after the effective date of this ordinance, shall be and become a part of the City of Port Orchard. subject to all the laws and ordinances thereof: LEGAL DESCRIPTION: That portion of SE Mile Hill Drive county road and of the Plat of Navy Yard Addition to Sidney, as recorded in Volume 1 of Plats, Page 87, records of Kitsap County, Washington situate in the Southwest quarter of Section 30, Township 24 North, Range 2 East W.M., and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of Block 5 of said Plat, at the intersection of the East Right of Way margin of Palmer Avenue SE with the South Right-of-way margin of SE Horstman Road; thence East along said South Right-of-way margin 260 feet to the East Right-of-way margin of Wendell Avenue SE; thence South along said Right-of-way margin 1020 feet to the Southwest corner of Block 7 of said Plat, on the North Right-of-way margin of SE 'Love11 Street; thence East along said North Right-of-way margin 520 feet to the Southwest corner of Block 9 of said Plat, March 12,2001 Page 2 of 2 on the East Right-of-way margin of Whittier Avenue SE; thence South along said East Right-of- Way margin 264.38 feet to the Southwest corner of Block 12 of said Plat, being also a point on the South line of said Section 30, thence West along the South line of said Section 30, 780 feet to the Southwest corner of Block 15 of said Plat. on the East Right-of-way margin of Palmer Avenue SE; thence North along said East Right-of-way margin, 1294.74 feet to the point of beginning. ORDINANCE NO. 1819 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT ORCHARD, WASHINGTON RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF PORT ORCAHRD, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE WlLEY ANNEXATION. THE ANNEXATION ENCOMPASSES APPROXIMATELY 11 BO ACRES LYING EAST OF THE EASTERLY CITY LIMITS BORDERED BY MILE HILL DRIVE, WHllTlER AVENUE, LOVELL STREET, WENDALL AVENUE, ORLANDO STREET, AND PALMER AVENUE. Copies of Ordinance No. 1819 are available for review at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port Orchard. Upon written request a statement of the full text of the Ordinance will be mailed to any interested person without charge.
